DC Women Kicking Ass: Kick ass artists of kick ass women: Round 4
Adam Hughes was the winner of favorite Zatanna artist by a wide margin. Congratulations were extended last evening. Today we have voting for Barbara Gordon as Batgirl.
Once again we have a long list of artists nominated and because I have been asked, nicely, I will provide some context.
Carmine…
I love me some Gil Kane, and Infantino obviously designed her look, but Martin did the best Batgirl story. I also really like Bruce Timm, and all the DCAU artists like Mike Parobeck (RIP), Rick Burchett, Ty Templeton, et al. (After previewing, I see none of the art is “above the cut”. Click through!)
Kick ass tournament: Round 2, Match 8
This is it, the final match of this round. The winner one of this goes to the semifinals. Today we have two women brought to you by the letter “B”
B is for bad ass and brassy and
bullets, bleeding and BIG!
Barda!
And in the other corner
B is for brilliant and brave and
Batgirl and books and
Barbara Gordon!
Voting is open until 8PM EDT.
You know the rules.
This was a tough one.
DC Women Kicking Ass: It's Barbara Gordon's birthday
Today, according to the 1976 DC Calendar is the birthday of Barbara Gordon. Hey Babs, what do you think of birthdays?
Twenty-two? Hey, guess what? You got your birthday wish! Thanks to the reboot you are 22!
At the DC panel at Fan Expo, Eddie Berganza brought up Barbara Gordon as an example…
…argh.

DC Women Kicking Ass: Retailer FAQ reveals transition of Barbara Gordon to Batgirl
Bleeding Cool got a hold of the FAQ that DC prepared and sent to retailers who couldn’t get to their road show. And let’s just get to the most interesting tidbit:
* Does The New 52 undo events or continuity that I’ve been reading?
Some yes, some no. But many of the great stories remain….
Feh, I say!
