The kid mocks me for liking this version, but I say GET OFF MY LAWN, IT RULZ!!
Crash b/w I’ll Stick With You
The Primitives, RCA Records/UK (1988)
Artist: Shonen Knife
Track: Brown Mushrooms (Single Version)
Album: Brown Mushrooms And Other Delights
Booker T. And The M.G.’s | Time Is Tight
Very different from the single version - with a long intro and an outro. The main body has some additional changes as well as a much faster tempo than the single…
from the album For All The Sad Bastards
This is the most beautiful song in the world. Saw them last night and am hungover, but everything is alright when you’re down.
The Left Banke, “She May Call You Up Tonight”
Bow Wow Wow | Do You Wanna Hold Me?
A New England b/w Patrick
Kirsty MacColl, Stiff Records/UK (1984)
On the other hand, I like this version 1,000,000 times better than Billy Bragg’s.
They Don’t Know b/w You Broke My Heart in 17 Places
Tracey Ullman, MCA Records/USA (1983)
My kid thinks I’m crazy for preferring this to the Kirsty MacColl version, but WHATEVER BRO. I love the piano and the bells, and this is faster and higher, and hell, peppier. The MacColl version sounds (to me) like an 80s demo, this sounds like 1965.
